Volunteers Start Arriving to Finish Guest House
Two years ago, a group from Fayetteville, North Carolina came to eSwatini to work on Kudvumisa’s new guest house in it’s early stages of renovation. This year, they’re returning to put final touches on the nearly finished building.
Covenant Love Church from Fayetteville, North Carolina will be the first team to arrive this winter – or summer if you are in the US – to paint the 11 bedrooms of the Kudvumisa guest house. Years ago, they helped remove the roof and ceiling during early renovations. Hard-working volunteers like them keep us moving forward with our guest house while we continue to deliver lifesaving health care to the isolated and impoverished.
Kudvumisa clinics are free or low-cost to the people, but sustainability of our health care depends on developing outside and independent financial sources that do not depend entirely on donations. The guest house plays a role in this. Income generated by renting the rooms to local guests, visiting teams and volunteers will reduce costs for outside rentals.
About 20 percent of the cost of renovating the guest house has been raised. You can help us finish the guest house and achieve of mission of sustainability through your donations. Donate to us today!
