At Kudvumisa Foundation, our core mission is creating access to quality, compassionate care for the marginalized and impoverished, as well as economic empowerment. We've witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of high electricity costs on the vulnerable communities we serve in the Lubombo Region. Our clinic, Kudvumisa Community Clinic, is a lifeline for families struggling to access basic healthcare. But rising electricity bills strain our resources, making it increasingly difficult to provide the essential services our community desperately needs, and hindering our ability to expand our economic empowerment programs.
Recognizing the transformative potential of solar energy, we took a bold step a few years ago, installing solar panels at the clinic. While this initial installation has been a positive step, providing partial power, we still rely heavily on the increasingly expensive national grid. Our vision: a fully solar-powered clinic.
